7. Export the Document as a PDF
Having a PDF version of your folio is very handy, indeed. It makes it very easy to email potential clients, it makes it easy to post on a web page, and because it’s a PDF you can also add security to it so images can’t be ripped off (see Figure 7).
Go to File > Adobe PDF Preset > Smallest File Size. Most of the settings here are perfect for creating a PDF to email or post on a web site. The color will be left as RGB, and images will be downsampled to 100ppi. The color Profile of sRGB will be used, which will ensure that the document will be displayed well on many different types of good (and not so good) color monitors.
The only things you might want to change are the security settings. Select the security tab from the left side of the dialog box and change the setting to your liking. You can even prevent people from printing the document if you like.
