Drag and Drop Pictures from Your Desktop (Windows only)
If you have a bunch of pictures to import, open Windows Explorer or, from the desktop, open the folder with the picture files and position the window off to the side of the screen so that the filenames show. Back in Quark, size the window down so that you've got a few inches. You can further clear that area by collapsing any palettesdouble-click the title bar. Now you should be able to see that window with the picture files on the side. Go to Fit in Window (Ctrl-0) or a more reduced view so you can see the greatest number of picture boxes. Then just reach out and touch that first picture file and drag and drop it into a box! Repeat until done.
