Summary
In Part 1 of this three-part series, we explored how the same lenses performed on a full-frame sensor camera and a camera using the smaller APS-C size sensor.
This article explored how the same APS-C size sensor camera performed when using Canon EF and EF-S (designed for smaller sensor cameras) lenses.
So far, we discovered that EF lenses capture far more of a scene on a camera with a full-frame sensor than when mounted on a camera using an APS-C size sensor. We also found that EF-S lenses help mitigate the difference somewhat with telephoto and zoom lenses.
In Part 3 of this series, we’ll explore differences in performance between full frame and APS-C size sensors, shooting under three different sets of circumstances.
