What if you went through the steps I’ve described so far, you’re down to just the shots you took between July and August of 2006, and the ones you need aren’t there? Now what? Next, I’d try the Keyword Tags panel.
Here’s where adding those keywords when you imported your photos really pays off. If you can’t remember the exact date when the shots were taken, maybe you can remember where they were taken. In my example, the shots were taken somewhere in the Netherlands—I thought it was Amsterdam, but then again, I thought it was last year. Go to the Keyword Tags panel (in the left-side Panels area), click the appropriate keyword (Netherlands, in my example), and all your shots with that keyword appear (see Figure 5).
