Automatic rotation is a default setting in the Maximum Size template. You can change this setting by going to the Image Settings panel and turning off the Auto-Rotate to Fit option. With auto-rotate turned off, Lightroom tries to fit the photo horizontally as large as possible, ending up with the printing layout shown in Figure 3.
Before we go on, I want to point out one of the coolest things about Lightroom’s printing capabilities. If you look under the right corner of the Preview area, in the toolbar is a little info area. In Figure 3, it reads "Page 1 of 5 " (circled in red). This info tells you that although you’re seeing only one page onscreen, more pages are queued to print (in this case, the five selected photos in the filmstrip).
