Flipping an Image
When working with an image, you may want to flip it to create a reversed image. This might simply be for composition or layout purposes. You might also need to fix an image that is a reflection, or compensate for a scanned negative that was loaded backwards or upside-down. Fortunately, Aperture can easily flip images horizontally, vertically, or both ways.
- Select the image Kids 19 in the Browser.
The client would like the image flipped for composition purposes.
- If the Flip controls are not shown in the Adjustments inspector, choose Flip from the Add Adjustments pop-up menu.
The image is flipped horizontally as soon as the adjustment is applied. If you want to modify the flip, you can click the type pop-up menu and choose Horizontal, Vertical, or Horizontal & Vertical.
