Since you’re printing one photo on a letter-sized page, rather than a contact sheet with multiple small photos, make sure that the Draft Mode Printing checkbox is turned off. Now it’s time to choose the resolution. The default print resolution is 240 dpi, which works fine for most color inkjet printing. If you use Epson printers, as I do, ideally you’d print at 360 dpi for letter-sized or smaller paper, 240 dpi for 13×19-inch prints, or 180 dpi for 16×20-inch prints or larger. (The larger the print size, the lower the resolution that’s acceptable.) In this instance, we’re printing to an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 on an 8_×11-inch sheet, so highlight the resolution field and type 360 (see Figure 2). Then press Return (PC: Enter).
