Dialing a Phone Number on a Webpage
Oftentimes we search for companies on the Web not only to research them, but also to call them. If you search for a company in Safari or navigate to any page that has a phone number on it, chances are the iPhone will recognize that phone number as a phone number and it will be highlighted. You can tap the phone number and the iPhone will ask you to confirm whether or not you want to dial it. If you tap Call, you’ll be taken to the Phone application automatically, where your call will be placed. Once you tap End Call, you’ll be returned to Safari to the page you were last viewing.
