Reducing Red Eye in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2
#77 Reducing Red Eye
While many cameras have built in red-eye reduction technology, the problem still happens in everyone’s photos. As a result, it’s helpful to know that there is a quick and easy fix with the Red Eye Correction tool.
To use the Red Eye Correction tool choose View > Red Eye or click on the red-eye icon in the tool strip (Figure 77a). Next, position the cursor over the red pupil (Figure 77b). It is typically best to select the entire eye, not just the pupil. If the current tool size is big enough, click the center of the eye to use the current size. Or press the [ ] keys to change the tool size. Press [ to decrease the size, and ] to increase the size. In addition, you can click and drag from the center of the eye to change the size as well.
If the red was not completely removed, drag the Pupil slider to increase the red removal area, or try increasing the Darkening amount to create a deeper black.
