Showing and Hiding Tracks
Pro Tools lets you temporarily hide tracks in a session, so that you can show only the tracks you need to do your work.
The names of all the tracks in a session appear in the Tracks list, which is on the top left of the Edit and Mix windows. You can show or hide tracks by selecting their names in the Tracks list. In addition, you can sort tracks by track name, track type, or group membership.
Even though hidden tracks do not appear in any Pro Tools window, they play back normally.
