Adding Tracks to a Session
When you first set up a session, you will often want to add more than one track. You can use the New Tracks dialog to create multiple tracks of different types.
To create a new track:
Choose Track > New.
The New Tracks dialog appears (Figure 4.28).

- Select a track type from the Track Type pop-up menu (Figure 4.29).

- Select a format for the track from the Track Format pop-up menu (Figure 4.30).

MIDI and Video tracks do not have a format choice.
- Type the number of tracks to create.
- Click Create.

To create multiple track types:
Choose Track > New.
The New Tracks dialog appears (Figure 4.28).
- Click the plus sign to add rows to the dialog (Figure 4.31).

- In each row, select the track type and track format from the corresponding pop-up menus.
Click Create.
The tracks are added to the session in the order they were designated in the New Tracks dialog.

Tip
- To have new tracks appear after an existing track in a session, select the existing track by clicking its name before creating the tracks.
