Quickly Switching to Another App
iOS 4 supports both multitasking (on the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4), as well as fast app switching. If an app supports either of these technologies you’ll be able to toggle back and forth between multiple apps without having to close one and return to the Home screen first. Just double-click the Home button and the multitasking bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the app you want to switch to and it will open. By default, you’ll see the last four apps you used in the multitasking bar. However, you can scroll the bar to the right to see more.
