From Here…
In this series of four articles, I've shown you how to create interactive and animated Flash objects in Catalystwithout resorting to scripting in Flash Professional. Along the way, we've created four-state buttons, designed a customized scrollbar and scrolling text box, and even built a custom video player.
While introducing you to Flash Catalyst in this series, I've stayed true to the overall approach in my book Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium How-Tos: 100 Essential Techniques. That approach includes squeezing as much dynamism, flexibility, and creativity as possible out of Adobe Creative Suite 5 without coding.
In each article, I've also walked you through the basics of using the Flash objects you created by embedding them into Dreamweaver CS5 websites. To go further down the path of integrating Flash and Dreamweaver, look up my articles on Dreamweaver CS5 at this site.
And, of course, if you find the approach here to be useful, clear, and fun, feel free to jump over and order your own copy of Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium How-Tos: 100 Essential Techniques.
