The Layers panel provides a very simple means of grouping and previewing adjustment layers together. Dan Moughamian shows you how.
From the book
One thing about adjustment layers that you have to watch out for is that they can really add up quickly. Luckily, the Layers panel provides a very simple means of grouping and previewing adjustment layers together.
- Press and hold the Shift key and click each of the adjustment layers in the Layers panel. If you have multiple image layers that are placed between a series of adjustments, handle those adjustments separately.
- For each group of selected adjustment layers, click under one of their icons while still holding down the Shift key, drag them to the Folder icon (third from the right),
, at the bottom of the Layers panel, and then release. This creates a new folder called Group 1 and places the adjustment layers inside (Figure 94).
Figure 94 Grouping adjustment layers is a simple task with the Layers panel.
- Click the folder label to rename it and then press the Return key to accept it. At this point your adjustments are organized so that they can be hidden or viewed together in the Layers panel.
