Ready for the Future
Updating the process version is a necessary chore if you have images that you edited in earlier versions of Camera Raw or Lightroom. But once it’s done, you set the stage for better image quality now and in the future.
If you need to review how the sharpening and noise reduction controls now work in Camera Raw 6 (and by extension Lightroom 3), or how to apply bulk changes to raw development settings, you can learn about the details in my book, Real World Adobe Photoshop for Photographers, or in the book Real World Adobe Camera Raw with Adobe Photoshop CS5 by Jeff Schewe. For Lightroom, see The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Book: The Complete Guide for Photographers by Martin Evening. All titles are available from Peachpit Press.
