The Wrap
Once you’ve placed the problem properly in The Pickle and you’ve filled out the other stages, you can begin developing ideas to solve the right problem. As you begin to immerse yourself in that problem, you’ll often find that the solutions are still broadly defined. The “I don’t know where this is going, but what if we...” scenario is common at this stage. This is a valuable part of the process, so don’t avoid it. These are the germs of ideas that are needed to grow something creative. But these idea seeds need watering; they are complex organisms that often need to be separated and solved in pieces, and then brought back together as a creative whole. In the next chapter, you’ll explore the process of solving the pieces.
