While preparing to leave Zabriskie Point, Death Valley, after a glorious sunrise shoot with the Digital Photo Workshops, I reached the parking area and turned to see this lone photographer taking in the view. I love including people in my landscape photos as a way of showing scale and adding a little life to the scene. I exposed for the bright areas to keep them from being overexposed and to ensure the person was cast as a silhouette.
