Preview Area
As shown in Figure 3, there are four tabs at the top of the preview area in the Save for Web window. They change the display of the preview area as follows:

Original: Shows the original image as seen in the Illustrator window.

Optimized: Shows the image with the current optimization settings applied to it.

2-up: Splits the preview area into two separate sections. Each section can show either the original image or the display of different optimization settings.

4-up: Splits the preview area into four separate sections.

The split preview windows are an excellent way to compare the differences between two different output formats (such as GIF vs. JPEG) or two different settings of the same format. |
