- Final Thoughts
Along with most of the other Adobe applications, Adobe Muse has updated to Adobe Muse CC (see Figure 1). This upgrade brings some major new features making Muse more powerful, such as Muse forms that work with other hosts, parallax scrolling on sites, a Layers panel, in-browser editing, and many others. As always, the Muse team listens when designers ask for more features!

Forms Support for Additional Hosts
In a previous Muse update, adding drag-and-drop forms capabilities was a big move. But there was a caveat: To use the forms in your site, you had to host your site with Adobe Business Catalyst. That rule has changed in Muse CC. Now, with almost any host that supports PHP, form data is sent as email to your account's email address when a user fills out the form on your site.
Adding a form that works with many web hosts is a simple drag-and-drop operation:
- Open the Widgets Library panel.
- Click the Forms category and drag one of the form widgets onto the desired page in your site. In Figure 2, I dragged out the Simple Contact form.
- With the form selected, use the displayed form options as needed to set up your form. (You can tell the form is selected because "Form" is displayed in the Control panel, as shown in Figure 3.) The form options that you can change include the name of the form, the target address to which the form data will be emailed, and the various form fields.
