has a whole new look. -
The Open and Save dialog boxes include a Places bar, which provides quick and easy access to commonly used folders, files, and locations.
-
The History folder on the Places bar in the Open and Save dialog boxes contains links to the last 20 documents on which you have worked.
-
The Back button in the Open and Save dialog boxes makes it easy to backtrack through recently visited folders.
EDITING
Excel's new Collect and Paste feature enables you to copy multiple selections from Office 2000 documents and paste any combination of them, in any order, into your document.
CUSTOMIZATION
-
Excel automatically tracks the menu commands you use most and displays them on short, personalized menus (Figure 2), which you can expand to show all commands (Figure 3).
Figure 2 Commonly used commands appear on a personalized menu...
Figure 3 ...but you can always display the full version of the menu. Excel automatically tracks the toolbar buttons you use most and can display them in a single row on the screen. Other toolbar buttons can be displayed as needed.
It's now quicker and easier to customize toolbars.
