Replacing Clips in a Trailer
In some cases you may want to replace one clip in the trailer with another one.
In the storyboard, skim to the last clip (Nima playful on the gravel).
This clip is very shaky, and you have one more unused clip in the browser.
In the upper-right corner of the clip’s thumbnail, click the Undo button.
The yellow highlight appears around the now-empty placeholder.
In the browser, skim to the last clip of Nima looking across the patio.
- Skim the clip to locate the point where Nima begins to turn her head, and then click to fill in the empty placeholder.
- Skim back in the storyboard to the “action” clip of Nima sniffing on the seaweed, and then press the Spacebar to play and see your change.
Knowing that you can change your trailer even after all the placeholders are filled relieves the creative pressure when you’re producing your first few cinematic masterpieces.
