Poring Over the Picture
Shooting long exposures of cityscapes at night is not nearly as difficult as you might think. The real keys to success are a steady camera and a great subject. The camera will do all the heavy lifting for you. This image was taken on a recent photowalk through the monuments in Washington, DC. It was enhanced by some low clouds that were lit up by the city lights.
