Generated File Hypertext Links
Another fast and easy method to create instant hypertext links is in generated files such as tables of contents and indexes. Creating hypertext links in tables of contents can greatly enhance a user's experience with online documents, as well as make it easier for you to debug source information.
You might have noticed that when you first created a table of contents, a check box for Create Hypertext Links exists right below the list of displayed paragraph tags. If you check this box, the next time you update the table of contents, hypertext links will be included in the list.
Didn't check this box when you first created a generated list? Not a problem! From a book file, simply click one time on the generated filename in the book file list, and select Edit, Set Up Table of Contents to include hypertext links. Don't forget to update the book file once you change settings.
NOTE
Hypertext links in FrameMaker are displayed as markers with text symbols turned on. With text symbols turned off, the markers are still thereyou just can't see them. To toggle text symbols, select View, Text Symbols.
