Adding Graphics and Text in Flash MX
To make your movie more interesting, you need to add graphics and text. In this lesson, you'll learn how to use the drawing tools to add shapes and text to your movie. You'll look at some of the tools Flash offers for controlling and modifying elements. Flash provides multiple tools to let you precisely control the placement of elements, including rulers, guides, panels, and the Property inspector. In this lesson, you'll learn to use all of these.
The Main Page
of the ZooMX
web site.
In addition, Flash uses layers and guides to let you control the way your elements interact. You'll add and modify layers, and you'll work with the layer display to show, hide, lock, and unlock different layers.
Throughout the lesson, your exercises build to create a graphic that will eventually become the main page of the ZooMX web site. You'll start simply, but by the time you complete this lesson, you'll have a page with graphics and text. You will add more in later lessons, but this lesson will give you a solid foundation upon which you can build graphically appealing Flash movies.
