Conclusion
So, is it worth upgrading to Dreamweaver MX? In my opinion, yes, it is. At first I thought the upgrade would benefit only those who use database-driven applications on their pages because this seems to be the biggest update on the program.
However, when I had another look at the previous version of Dreamweaver for this review, I noticed that I found the improved user interface much easier to work with. With the easy modification of your workspace and the well-thought-out layout of the design and option windows, it really becomes a please to work with Dreamweaver MX. And the good news for 4.0 users is that the change in layout in general seems so small that you will get used to working with it in no time.
Combined with the many small improvements in virtually all the features of Dreamweaver, I think it is definitely worth your money upgrading to the MX version. But don't take my word for itsurf over to http://www.macromedia.com/software/dreamweaver/download/ to download a 30-day trial version of the program.
Good luck making your decision!
