Tilts
A tilt follows the action vertically, like an up-and-down pan. Tilts are great for following the action of a rocket blasting off or for emphasizing the tall expanse of a skyscraper. Figure 10 shows the starting and ending shots of a tilt.

This is a great way to follow the action of any vertically moving subject or to simply view the expanse of a tall building.
