Be Careful
If you're careful, you can produce good results using Freehand's color management. You can either work entirely in final CMYK, or work in RGB and separate to final CMYK on output. If you work in mixed RGB and CMYK, make sure that any imported CMYK is already in the final print space. If you need to export CMYK from FreeHand, the only way that works is to use the rather laborious process we describe in the Tip, "Create Output-Ready CMYK EPS Files," earlier in this chapter. FreeHand's Export features areat least in the current version, FreeHand 10unsafe at any speed!
