Configuring Site Settings
Site settings pertain to your particular hardware setup. They include the following:
- Deck Configuration: These settings are helpful mainly if you have multiple decks or other devices connected to your system. (For information on deck configuration, see Chapter 4, "Capturing and Importing Media.")
- Desktop Play Delay: When you enable playback of your sequence through FireWire to an external monitor, the audio and video in your Composer window playback may lose sync by a few frames. Use the Desktop Play Delay settings to adjust the offset in the Composer video and your system audio speakers so they play in sync, along with your external monitor.
- Port Server: These settings control automatic connection to a LANshare if such a network is connected to your system. (For more information, see "Network and Shared Storage Solutions" in Chapter 1.)
