Putting It Together
Start by assembling the hardware:
- Plug the AirPort Express into a wall outlet—or, better yet, into a surge suppressor outlet—within stereo-cable distance of your stereo or speakers. Then plug the mini-stereo end of the stereo cable into the AirPort Express and the other end into your stereo or speakers.
- If you plugged into your stereo, you’ve probably plugged into one of the Aux Input ports. If your stereo has more than one, you’ll need to know which one. You should also power up your stereo and set its selector for the input port to which the AirPort Express is connected.
- If you haven’t already done so, install the AirPort software. You’ll need it to configure the AirPort Express, as discussed in the next section.
