Adding Still-Image Sequences
Many programs export movies as a sequence of still images. Don't worry—Premiere Elements can add a numbered sequence as a single clip that acts just like a movie file.
To add numbered still images as a single clip:
- Confirm that each image in the numbered sequence has the correct extension and that the filenames contain an equal number of digits at the end (seq000.bmp, seq001.bmp, and seq002.bmp, for example).
- In the Media panel, specify where you want to add the clip by doing either of the following:
- Navigate to the folder into which you want to import or to the topmost level of the Media panel.
- In list view, select the folder into which you want to add the clip.
- In the taskbar, click Add Media and choose From Files or Folders in the pull-down menu (
Figure 3.45
).
The Add Media dialog box appears.

- Select the first file in the numbered sequence.
- Select the Numbered Stills check box (

), and click Open.
The image sequence appears in the selected folder of the Media panel as a single clip ( Figure 3.47 ).
