Sorting Songs
If browsing or searching yields many songs (or if you're viewing your entire library), it helps to be able to sort the songs that appear in the song list. You may also want to sort your songs in a particular way, since the order they appear in the song list is the order in which they'll play.
To sort by a particular column:
- Click the column name (
Figure 3.6
). The column head becomes highlighted, so you can tell that it's the column by which the entire list is sorted. If the triangle on the right side of the column name points up, everything is sorted in alphabetical or numeric order.
Figure 3.6 Click any column head to sort by that column. Songs are sorted in alphabetical order, since this triangle points up. Click the triangle to reverse alphabetical order.
To reverse the order of the sort:
- Click the column head again.
The column is now sorted in the reverse order (
Figure 3.7
).
Figure 3.7 After clicking the column head so the arrow points down, the songs are in reverse alphabetical order.
