Controlling Volume
You can change the volume for the iTunes application as a whole, or you can change the default volume of specific songs.
Ways to change the volume for all songs:
- Click and drag the volume slider in the iTunes window (
Figure 3.25
).

- Hold down the Command key (Mac) or Ctrl key (Windows) and press the up or down arrow keys on your keyboard.
Setting the default volume for a single song:
- Click the song in the song list to select it.
- From the File menu, choose Get Info. The Info window for the song appears.
- Click the Options tab.
- Select the default volume by adjusting the Volume Adjustment slider (

).

- Click OK to close the window.
Setting the default volume for multiple songs:
- Shift-click to select multiple contiguous songs or Command-click (Mac) or Ctrl-click (Windows) to select multiple noncontiguous songs in the song list.
- From the File menu, choose Get Info.
- If you're asked whether you want to edit information for multiple items, click Yes.
- Move the Volume Adjustment slider in the lower left corner of the window to adjust the volume (

- Click OK to close the window.
