Ableton Live Lite
Ableton Live Lite is a slimmed-down version of M-Audio’s $500 recording software. Though obviously not as full-featured as its big brother, Live Lite was adequate for creating my opening audio track (see Figure 5). All you have to do is drag sample clips into the track slots, and hit Play to hear your creation. Then it’s a simple matter of exporting the track to WAV or AIFF format. I found rendering 10 bars was enough for the intro music. You can also create looping tracks so they can play in the background indefinitely.
