Edges from Nature
Photographic textures such as concrete or rust are also used as a photo edge. Start by making a level adjustment on a copy of the original image. Drag the end sliders inward and the middle slider close to either dark end of the histogram. Convert the image to grayscale by choosing Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation and drag the Saturation slider to -100.
Use steps 4–8 above to create the texture as a layer mask on your image and then use the fine-tuning process if desired (see Figure 7).
