What Else Can She Do?
Susan can produce print layouts of her images in a variety of ways using the Picture Tasks plug-in. She can print multiple copies of a selected image or print a contact sheet of all her images. The bonus material for Chapter 3 on the book's Web site shows you how to work with other Picture Tasks. If Susan is really serious about sending presentations in a very compact format, she can use lower-resolution JPEG images when she is constructing the presentation. If the source images are at a lower resolution, each source image contributes less to the overall file size.
She can also build the presentation manually. Rather than using the Picture Tasks feature, she can work with a number of commands, actions, and other features to create much the same presentation as that produced automatically using Picture Tasks. When building a presentation from scratch, you have more control over the individual components. For example, you can optimize images, which is a method of compressing them to a level best compatible with the way they are used in a manual presentation, an action that can't be done using the Picture Tasks method.
