Make a Frame with an Action
Photoshop ships with a collection of actions that can automatically create frames for you. To use these actions, choose Window > Actions to display the Actions palette. If it displays, click the Frames action; if not, click the flyout menu for the palette, choose Load Actions, browse to the Actions folder, and load the Frames action. Open your image and click the frame option of your choice. Click the Play Selection button at the foot of the palette to run it on your image. There is a range of actions for frames: a Brushed Aluminum frame, photo corners, and some handy edge effects (see Figure 8).
Figure 8 Photoshop ships with some frame actions that you can play on an image to create an instant frame effect.
Of course, there are plenty of frame actions available for purchase and for free downloading on the web. These .ATN files can be played on your images just like any other Photoshop action.
