View Slide Layouts
Now that you know what sorts of images you might want to use, it’s time to start thinking about how those images will appear on your slides. You’ll do this by looking at the slide layouts PowerPoint provides for slides that contain images, or images and text.
On Windows, display the Task Pane by choosing View > Task Pane, or press Ctrl-F1. From the pop-up menu at the top of the Task Pane, choose Slide Layout. The Slide Layouts appear.
Scroll down to Content Layouts, which have placeholders for one or more pictures, or a title and pictures.
For your slides, you might find the Text and Content Layouts more useful; these include placeholders for a title, bulleted text, and one or more pictures.
