Organizing the Sidebar with Groups
You can create groups in the sidebar using the New Group command from the File menu. Groups are a new trick for Remote Desktop that enable you to organize similar computer lists, smart lists, scanners, and saved tasks. They act much like folders and are even identified by a folder icon. You can create as many groups as you like and include as many items in groups as you like. The advantage of groups is that not only do they organize computer lists but also saved tasks. For example, if you create two smart lists with all your Intel Macs and all your Power PC Macs that have Mac OS X 10.4.5 installed, grouping that with the tasks that automatically install the 10.4.6 update package for each type of Mac would make it easier to locate and use both the lists and the saved tasks.
