Integrating with Front Row
EyeTV does not offer an immediate point of integration with Apple’s Front Row, primarily because EyeTV uses a proprietary video file format that cannot be read by Apple’s QuickTime Player. On the one hand, there really isn’t a need for that integration because each is managed by a separate remote and serves somewhat different functions. However, Front Row’s cleaner interface and its capability to provide a single source of access to all other media mean that such integration would be a nice feature. That said, EyeTV’s iPod export feature to export recordings to your iTunes library, making them available in Front Row.
