Podcast Maker
Podcast Maker is designed specifically to make publishing a podcast as simple as possible. Like Blog.Mac, it doesn’t offer the ability to record or edit audio, so you have to use a separate application to actually record the podcast. However, Podcast Maker’s intuitive and iTunes-like interface makes the process of entering descriptions and images and creating the podcast RSS feed and related files exceptionally easy—in several ways, the process is more intuitive than using iWeb because Podcast Maker organizes podcasts more like a collection of audio files (similar to iTunes) than as a collection of web pages, making creating a podcast very similar to managing a podcast that you listen to.
Podcast Maker can publish a podcast with equal ease to .Mac, an FTP/SFTP site, or to a folder. It can also be used to submit a podcast to the iTunes podcast directory and to fully preview how your podcast will look in iTunes. Like GarageBand, Podcast Maker supports chapters and creating enhanced podcasts.
Podcast maker is a great tool for managing and publishing your podcast, particularly if you don’t want to create an entire site in iWeb to go along with the podcast. It can work with audio files generated from GarageBand or any other Mac OS X audio editing application. Its simplicity and the fact that it includes all the required features for generating a podcast make it a great alternative to iWeb.
