Fix Skin Tone with Mask
By creating an adjustment layer with a mask (another overlying protective layer), we can apply color fixes to just part of a photo. This is particularly useful when, as in this example, light reflecting off the nearby hydrangeas adds a pink cast to the skin tone. We used this same method to add “fill flash” on page 54. (See extra bits on page 80.)
