9. Bookmarks and Buttons
Preview has a whole slew of other features accessed via toolbar buttons or hidden away in the menu at the top of the screen. The Bookmarks menu is one neat feature. Though designed primarily for use with libraries of PDF documents, it works nicely as a tool for accessing commonly used images such as logos that you might want to paste into word processor documents and web pages.
Open up the desired image and then use the Add Bookmark menu item (or press Command+D) to add an image to the menu. Next time you want this file, instead of manually locating it, all you need to do is choose it from the Bookmark menu, which is a real timesaver. Use the Edit Bookmarks menu item to rename or delete existing bookmarks.
Preview can rotate images in 90-degree increments to the left or right using a pair of toolbar buttons or keyboard shortcuts: Command+L and Command+R. There are no shortcuts or buttons for flipping images horizontally or vertically, though; for that you need to select these options under the Tools menu item.
