Making iPhoto Shine
iPhoto is a venerable part of the iLife suite, and without any modifications it is an incredible tool for anyone with a digital camera. However, even the best applications can use a little improvement. The following three options make organizing photos and sharing them a little better.
Keyword Manager
iPhoto has always supported assigning keywords to photos. You can create an unlimited number of keywords and assign as many to each photo as you like. Keywords can then be used to search, sort, and even create smart albums based on those keywords. The problem is that Apple’s mechanism adding keywords and assigning them to photos has always been clunky and has never gotten a real update.
Keyword Manager is a plug-in that makes adding new keywords, managing them in categories, and assigning or removing them from photos a breeze. This shareware tool is a must for anyone who wants to organize their iPhoto library.

iPhoto has always provided easy-to-publish iPhoto albums to a .Mac account as impressive online photo albums. The results of an HTML export option for publishing albums to a web page on another server are generic looking pages that are boring by comparison.
The shareware plug-in BetterHTMLExport gives users access to a plethora of themes and options that can create stunning web albums with a few clicks. The creative and adventurous can also design their own templates and share them with others.
Portraits & Prints
This fun shareware application gives you the ability to get creative when printing photos. Instead of being stuck with the traditional rectangular copies of your pictures that iPhoto prints, this application enables you to print pictures in a variety of shapes, sizes, and layouts.
Although not iPhoto-specific, Portraits & Prints integrates well with iPhoto and gives you more fun ways to print your photos.
