Crop Preview
If you’ve used the Crop tool in the Develop module, you already know that it’s flexible, functional, and just plain amazing. The only downside with this tool is that you can’t truly preview the crop until you’ve applied it to the image—unless, of course, you follow this simple tip: In the Develop module, select the Crop Overlay tool from the toolbar, or press the R key. This brings up an outline with adjustment handles around the photo, and the area that will be cropped is slightly grayed out. To preview the crop before you apply it to the image, press the L key twice to enter Lights Out mode. Now you’ll be able to see the crop before it’s applied. And you can even move the image within the crop boundaries while in Lights Out mode!
