Lightroom Tune-up
If you’ve been working in Lightroom for a while and have made a significant number of changes to your library of images, you may notice that performance slows. If this happens, your first plan of attack should be to optimize the Lightroom catalog database file:
- Select File > Catalog Settings.
- In the Catalog Settings dialog, click on the General tab, and then click the Relaunch and Optimize button (see Figure 3).
Think of this as taking your car to the auto shop to get a regularly scheduled tune-up. At first, it may seem like a hassle, but the small inconvenience is well worth the results!
