Building this book has been a wonderful journey of more than two years, fueled by the encouraging words from old friends and new ones as they’ve been able to use my educational materials and apply them to their art.

All of the projects in the book are designed to work with your own sketches and source materials, but the sketches and photos on this Web site are available for you to use if you want to experiment and create images similar to the ones I’ve shown in the book.

On this site, you'll find:

  • Sample projects from the book and information that will keep it up to date as the relevant technology grows and changes.
  • You’ll discover copies of unique brushes that you’ll use to build the projects in the book.
  • Textures and sample sketches that show you how I started projects in chapters 5–14—materials that aren’t available anywhere else.
  • You’ll also find sample photographs that you can use to complete the projects in chapters 9 and 13.

The Tablet Book site is organized into two areas:

Information and News  - Includes news, tips, chapter samples and book errata.

Art Materials - Where you can find brushes and textures for Painter and Photoshop, as well as sketches and reference photos for the projects in the book.

Finally, I’d like to invite you to submit your own creations using Painter, Photoshop, and the Tablet, for consideration to include on this Web site in a “reader’s gallery of art.” You are welcome to email me with your artwork (including any special techniques or brushes applied), or feel free to contact me with any feedback or questions you may have regarding the book.
